Your Story, in experienced hands
My name is Alyse, and I started reel people after 14 years in the film and TV industry telling honest, engaging, and heartfelt stories.
I have worked as a journalist and reporter for ABC News, BBC World News and Channel 4 News, before moving into entertainment TV to produce award-winning shows such as Travel Guides, The Block, Farmer Wants a Wife, Mythbusters There’s Your Problem and Big Brother.
In 2023, I sat down to interview my own grandparents, Lionel and Joy. After convincing them that being in front of camera isn’t scary, their stories are worth sharing, and how much it would mean to their children, they agreed!
The result was better than I could have ever imagined- a precious gift that my family continues to cherish.
I hope to provide other families with the same opportunity to capture these priceless memories, build connection, ask important questions, and learn their own history while they have a chance.

HOW it works
1. Questionnaire
We send the interviewees a questionnaire before our initial consult. This is where we aim to find out who you are, what makes you tick and the kinds of stories you’d like to share.
2. Chats
We meet with the interviewees over the phone
or on zoom, so we can get to know each other and
answer any questions they may have.
3. Photos & Videos
You send us your favourite photos from the past
and home videos to incorporate in the film.
4. Filming
We spend a day filming with you in your home.
The shoot will include a 2-hour sit-down interview.
(Don’t worry it’s casual, fun, and we stop for breaks)
5. Edit
The footage goes through an editing process, and comes back to you as a cinematic film you’ll cherish for generations!
6. Screening
All the hard work is done. Now bring the family together, sit back, relax and enjoy watching your beautifully curated film. We recommend keeping the tissues handy! We will provide advice with viewing technology and help you find the best way to optimise the cinematic experience.
